Bhubaneswar: Former Nabarangpur MP Pradeep Majhi announced that he will join the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
Majhi, who recently resigned from the Congress, said that he is looking forward to joining BJD.
At a press conference in Nabarangpur, the senior leader said he is inspired by the good works and ideals of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
He said that the CM-led party has provided a stable government in the State.
“My aim is to serve the people of the State and strengthen Naveen’s hand,” the senior leader said.
Majhi, who represented Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seat from 2009 to 2014, resigned from the primary membership of the grand-old party on October 22.
According to senior political analysts, Pradeep Majhi joining the Biju Janata Dal will further strengthen the party in the undivided Koraput District. He will play an important role in the development of the areas, they opinioned.
