Bhubaneswar: President of India Ram Nath Kovind will arrive here today on a two-day visit to Odisha.
The President would arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) today evening and proceed to Raj Bhawan for a night stay.
During his visit, Kovind will lay the foundation stone for the Paika Rebellion Memorial at Barunei Hill in Khurda on Sunday to mark the completion of 200 years of the uprising which is considered as the first war of Indian Independence.
Kovind will also attend a general meeting and deliver a speech at the venue.
The President will also attend the valedictory ceremony of the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Utkal University.
Adequate security arrangements have been made in Bhubaneswar and Khurda in view of President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Odisha, sources said.
