Puri: The Puri district administration is organizing the “Best of Puri Beach Photography Contest” from April 13 to 16 to showcase the uniqueness and beauty of the famous beach.
“Puri beach is without a doubt one of the most magical and pristine beaches in the world. The district administration is committed to further popularizing the beach in order to attract more tourists, pilgrims and highlight the uniqueness and beauty of Puri beach”, the Puri admin said.
The beach has undergone a massive transformation over the years, and a host of initiatives have been taken by the administration, locals, and welfare groups to continuously improve the cleanliness, infrastructure, and aesthetics, it added.
The Puri administration has invited the residents of the district to participate in the “Best of Puri Beach Photography Contest” by sharing photographs of Puri beach showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of the beach.
Here are the details of the content:
1. The contests are open for online submissions only, through the official Social media pages of Puri District Administration. One may also submit the high resolution photographs through the email id: [email protected].
2. The participant must Like / follow our Facebook, twitter and Instagram pages. In case the participant is found not doing so, his/her submission will be discarded.

3. Please make use of the hashtag #BestOfPuriBeach and tag any one of our official Facebook / Twitter /Instagram Profiles. Please do caption the photograph. One may also briefly describe the photograph.
4. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses. The last date of submission of photographs is 16th April 2022, 12:00 PM.
5. Participants must be an Indian citizen.
6. Photos submitted must be of good quality. Photos must be in JPEG format.
7. One may submit a maximum of three photographs. However only one photograph of the individual will be considered by the jury.
8. One is required to provide a unique caption for each image submitted.
9. Photos that have won previous awards should not be submitted.
10. There must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the submitted image. In case the participant uses the logo or copyright marks while submitting the photograph on our social media pages, then the participant must agree to send the original image without any logo or copyright over the mentioned email id if notified to do so.
11. Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).
12. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.
13. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other contents deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
THE JUDGING
1. The judging panel shall assess and determine the winning Photos. The results and the winners will be announced on our Official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles.
2. The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding on all Participants in respect to all matters relating to the Contest.
3. We reserve the right to call for original JPEG or RAW files with unchanged EXIF for the purpose of authentication. An image maybe disregarded if this information cannot be provided.
PRIZES
1. 1st Winner- Rs 5,000/-
2. 2nd Winner- Rs 3,000/-
3. 3rd Winner- Rs 2,000/
• The winner will be announced on April 16, 2022.
• The prize giving ceremony will be held at “Beach Connect” event on April 17 2022, from 5:30 a.m. to
8:00 p.m at Golden Beach, Puri.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
1. Submitted photos must be original, created and/or taken by the contestant. It must not contain any materials owned or controlled by a third party for which you have not obtained a license, must not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
2. We respect photographers’ copyrights and copyrights shall remain vested with the creator of the image. Upon making the submission, you grant us worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty free, sub-licensable right and license to use, publish, reproduce, display, perform, adapt, create derivative works, distribute, have distributed, print, in whole or in part, in any form, in all media forms now or hereafter known, to use the photographs for promotions.
3. The Photographer will be credited wherever the image is used.
