Puri: The “Gaja Udharana Besha” of Lord Jagannatha and His divine siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra was performed at Srimandir on the auspicious occasion of Magha Purnima on Wednesday.
Gaja Udharana Besha is done on the full moon day of Magha. Gaja Udharana Besha depicts a story in the puranas as to how Lord Vishnu saved an elephant from the attack of an alligator.
Devotees thronged to the pilgrim city to witness this rare attire of the Lord.
