Puri: Notorious criminal Biju Behera of Puri, involved in a number of cases was injured in an encounter with the Puri police near Chandanpur today. The police was trying to apprehend Biju near Chandanpur while the incident happened. Biju was involved in the two attack incidents that happened yesterday night in Puri in which a woman was injured and other two persons received minor injuries. He had opened fire seeking extortion money in both the incidents.
He has been arrested and shifted to Puri hospital treatment. A sub Inspector also received minor injuries in the encounter.
