Puri: Vigilance sleuths on Friday apprehended a lineman of Pipili sub-division in Puri district for allegedly taking bribe.
The lineman has been identified as Manas Ranjan Sahoo.
Sahoo has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 7,500 from a person to furnish feasibility report for new electric connection for a poultry farm.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from his possession.
In this connection Bhubaneswar PS case number /2022 U/S 7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered.
Further investigation is in process against the accused.
