Quack Doctor Administers Animal Injection To Man, Police Let Him Go After Signing Undertaking

Baripada: In a bizarre incident, a quack doctor in Mayurbhanj district has administered livestock injection to a patient in Mahuladhia village in Thakurmunda Block of Mayurbhanj.

The quack, identified as Biswanath Behera gave the animal injection to one Srikanta Mahanta to cure him of back pain. On suspicion, Srikanta’s brother checked the injection given by Biswanath and came to know that it was a vet medicine.The fake doctor had identified himself as a staff of Thakrmaunda Hospital and came to provide health services to the villagers.

When the local villagers came to know about the incident, they detained the fake doctor and handed him over to the police. But the police has let him off after taking from him a undertaking.
