Rayagada: A government school teacher in Rayagada district has come under the scanner of vigilance for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.
The anti-corruption officials conducted simultaneous searches at the properties of Shisir Kumar Semeli, Teacher at Office of BEO, Rayagada.
The simultaneous house searches are being conducted by four teams of Odisha Vigilance led by four DSPs, five Inspectors and other staffs at six places in Rayagada district.
The raids were conducted on the strength of Search Warrants issued by Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Koraput at Jeypore, the vigilance said.
As per the latest reports, the vigilance sleuths have unearthed hard cash worth Rs 2.88 lakh, assets including two triple storeyed buildings and three double storeyed buildings at Doraguda, Rayagada, bank deposits of Rs 21.68 lakh, 2 four wheelers, gold jewellery approximately 408 gms, silver jewellery approximately 229 gms.
Search is still underway, said the vigilance.
