New Delhi: The revised height of Mount Everest is 8,848.86 meters or 29,032 feet.
It has been announced by Nepal and China today after joint measurement of the world’s highest peak.
“8848.86 metres is the newly-measured height of Mount Everest,” informed Nepal’s Foreign Minister.
Nepal had decided to measure the exact height of the mountain in the backdrop of growing debates that the height of peak might have changed due to several reasons, including the 2015 earthquake.
As per the previous measurement by Survey of India in 1954, the height of Mount Everest is 8,848 meters.
