Hamilton: Rohit Sharma has become the fourth batsman from India to complete 10,000 international runs as an opening batsman.
Rohit reached the milestone during the third T20I against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Wednesday.
Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag are the other three Indian batsmen to have achieved the feat.
In the third T20, Rohit scored 65 runs in just 40 balls before being dismissed by Hamish Bennett in the 11th over.
Rohit has four T20I centuries to his name, the most for any batsman in cricket’s shortest format.
