Rugby India, Rahul Bose Thank Naveen For Wholehearted Support

Bhubaneswar: Rugby India has thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his support to Indian Rugby and the best wishes he conveyed to the U-18 Women’s team that is going to Uzbekistan next month. In a tweet, Rugby India has said that “We thank Honorable CM of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik for his best wishes to our U-18 women’s team that is set to tour Uzbekistan next month and his assurance of full support to Rugby India.”

Rahul Bose, renowned actor and Board Member of Rugby India also thanked Chief Minister for his support to Rugby India. In a tweet, Bose said “Whenever we have asked of you, you have never said no. Indebted.”

Earlier yesterday, the Chief Minister had wished the best to the U18 Girls Rugby Team that will be touring Uzbekistan next month and promised full support to Rugby India in its endeavor.

The Odisha Government has partnered with Rugby India and announced to be the associate sponsor of Rugby India for the next three years.

Naveen had said yesterday, “The partnership between Rugby India and the Government of Odisha has started taking shape. I am happy that the national girl’s team’s training camp is being organised here in Bhubaneswar. I would like to extend my best wishes to all girls who will make it to the U-18 squad that will play the Asia 7s in Uzbekistan.”

“Rugby has a special place in the sports development initiative in the state. Many of our young boys and girls are playing rugby and making it to the national teams. Odisha will become the home of Indian rugby. We would like to extend our full support to Indian Rugby and may this partnership thrive for many years,” he said.
