Bhubaneswar: Schools in Odisha will reopen today after the 11 day summer vacations. The School and Mass Education Department has made all arrangements for the reopening and physical classes. While the timing for students will be from 10 am to 4 pm, teachers have to reach the schools by 9:30 am. The Department has issued a detailed guideline regarding normalization of teaching in the schools during the 2022-23 academic year. School Headmasters and principals will work in close coordination with all the stakeholders on the preparation of the academic calendar and completion of the education year by March 2023.
The Heads of the schools have been instructed to convene a meeting of the teachers on the first day itself and discuss regarding the Time Table and Lesson Plan. The Headmasters will ensure that the students upto class three receive the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy books and students from fourth class upto 10th receive the Learning Enhancement Programme materials along with their books. Extra-Co curricular activities such as creative writing, quizzes, speech etc should be conducted on regular intervals to enhance the general knowledge of the students.
