Mumbai: In a sterling revelation, Devendra Fadnavis claims 15 rebels are in touch with the BJP and the number may go up.
The Sena has been pushing for the BJP to honour the 50-50 sharing formula struck between Uddhav Thackeray and Amit Shah before elections, hinting at a rotational CM.
Fadnavis also said it is the first time in the history of Maharashtra that a government and a CM have come to power again, indicating he would retain the top post.
Earlier, Thackeray appeared to strike a confrontational tone in his first press meet after election results, saying his party had been “accommodating” during Lok Sabha elections, but can’t go on doing the same.
In another interesting turn of events, the NCP is set to win more seats than the Congress and almost as many as the Sena.
Aaditya Thackeray, the first in his political family to contest elections, won from Worli, while NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar proved pollsters wrong and handsomely won family bastion Baramati.
