Bhubaneswar: The setting up of pressure swing absorption (PSA) oxygen plants in Odisha has been delayed due to Central negligence, said Directorate of Medical Education & Training (DMET) Director CBK Mohanty.
Turning down the allegations that there has been delay in setting up of seven PSA oxygen plants from the PM-Cares corpus funds in Odisha, the DMET Director said that the State Government has no role in setting up of the plants.
The State Government has already proposed the seven PSA oxygen plants to be set up at district headquarters hospitals (DHHs) in Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Jajpur and Angul in October last year after the Centre sought proposals in this regard.
Even though, the State Government has given the proposals, the Centre is yet to set up a single plant in Odisha, he added.
