Shops Disobeying Social Distancing Norms to Be Sealed in Ganjam Dist
District Admin Urges Shops to Maintain Contact Diary for Customers
Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration today announced that the shops and business establishments disobeying social distancing norms will be fined with Rs 1000 and sealed.
Taking to Twitter, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange insisted that the shopkeepers must follow social distancing norms.
The shopkeepers must wear masks and gloves, and must provide sanitizer for customers, the Collector said.
The shops and business establishments must display ‘No Mask No Goods Board’ in front of their shops. Besides, they should draw circles for two meter distancing.
Kulange also urged the shopkeepers to maintain contact diary for customers.
The shops and business establishments will be fined with Rs 1000 and sealed, if they flout the guidelines.
Earlier, the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) ordered for closure of Mango Market at Andhapasata Road in the city from Monday for alleged violation of social distancing guidelines.

Ganjam district continues to be the major hotspot for coronavirus infection in Odisha accounting 210 positive cases of the total 538 cases in the State.
