SJTA Chief Administrator Seeks Cooperation of All for Smooth Conduct of Snana Yatra and Rath Yatra

Puri: As the day is drawing nearer for the Snana Yatra and Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Dr. Krishan Kumar has sought cooperation of all quarters for the smooth conduct of the famous two festivals here. 

 

Informing media after holding a high level meeting with officials to review preparations for the festivals, the SJTA Chief Administrator said that the cooperation of all is highly essential for the smooth conduct of the rituals of the Trinity during Snana Yatra and Rath Yatra.

“We all need to do some sacrifice till the completion of Nilardir Bije on July 5”, he said.

He also requested the people of Puri to extend support in the fight against the COVID-19.

Dr. Krishan Kumar appealed the people of the holy city to cooperate the temple administration for the smooth conduct of the rituals starting from Snana Yatra to Nilardir Bije,
He further said that more than 50 per cent of the servitors engaged for the performance of Snana Purnima or the ceremonial bath rituals of the holy Trinity have already undergone COVID-19 testing. Others will go for test over the next two days, he added.
All necessary steps will be taken for the conduct the Snana Yatra of Lord Jagannath while maintaining social distance, he said.

The SJTA Chief Administrator also praised the efforts of the servitors engaged in the constructions of chariots for Lord Jagannath and His siblings – Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra for the Rath Yatra.
