Bhubaneswar: A state-wide parent-teacher meeting has been held on Saturday across Odisha.
In this programme, the parents were sensitized to motivate students for their academic growth, preparation for annual exams and stress-free exams.
In this conference, there were discussions on role of parents, psychological stress of children and its mitigation, career counselling, basic literacy and numeracy skills, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012 and School Safety Regulations – 2016 etc.
Notably, the parent-teacher conferences were held on a single day across the state. The parents expressed that they would be directly connected with the school and work together with the students and in the development of the schools.
In this meeting organized by the state government, the parents appreciated the various steps being taken to improve the quality of education. Various officials of the Education Department participated in the meeting.
