Bhubaneswar: Subarnapur district was on Thursday felicitated for its exemplary work towards ending child marriage during the year 2018.
The district administration has been felicitated by the Department of Women and Child Development and Mission Shakti for building awareness, mass mobilization, convergence and coordination among different stakeholders for prevention of child marriage.
The felicitation was made during the launching ceremony of the Strategic Action Plan (SAP) to make Odisha child marriage free state by 2030.
The SAP was launched by the WCD department with support of UNICEF and UNFPA.
