Sudhansu Sarangi Appointed as New Twin-City Police Commissioner, Ashish Singh as DIG of Police, Central Range
Major Shake Up in IPS Cadre
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has appointed Sudhanshu Sarangi as the new Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack and posted Ashish Kumar Singh as D.I.G. of Police, Central Range in a major reshuffle in IPS cadre on Monday.
Sarangi will replace Satyajit Mohanty, who has been appointed as Additional DG of Police Prisons and Director Correctional Service, Bhubaneswar.
Ashish Kumar Singh, who is currently serveing as DIG, Intelligence (in charge of CM Security) and Special Task Force, has been given the new role for the successful implementation of massive transformation initiatives in the pilgrim city of Puri that falls under central range.
The 2004-batch IPS officer had gained wide appreciations as the SP for Puri during Nabakalebar.
Rajesh Kumar, a 1998-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Director State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), Bhubaneswar.
Similarly, Mahendra Pratap has been appointed as Director, Printing Press and Stationary, Cuttack.
Additional DGP Law and Order, Sanjeeb Panda has been appointed Transport Commissioner. RP Koche, the Additional DGP Operations has been appointed as Additional DGP Law and Order in place of Panda.
