Rourkela: Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan Friday ordered for closure of a petrol pump in Koida tehsil for allegedly selling poor quality fuels to the people.
The Collector seized the petrol pump at Kusumdihi village in Koida after conducting raid.
The petrol pump has been identified as Harsa. During his two-day Koida tour, Pavan Kalyan carried out surprise raid at the petrol pump for allegedly cheating customers by selling poor quality fuels.
Also, there were allegations against the petrol pump that it was cheating customers in quantity too.
The pump is reportedly involved in illegal activities since long and also flouted safety norms, sources said.
In addition to this, regular traffic jams were also seen near the pump hampering vehicular movement.
