Bhubaneswar: Syrian Ambassador to India Dr Riad Kamel Abbas today met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Lok Seva Bhawan here and discussed issues of mutual internet including trade, investment and commerce.
The Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s conducive business environment and invited Syrian businesses to take advantage of it for ‘Make in Odisha’.
Talking to the media after the meeting, the Syrian Ambassador said, “It was a great honour to meet the Chief Minister of Odisha. We look forward to invite him to our country and strengthen the cooperation between Odisha and Syria.”

“The CM of Odisha has made changes on the ground. The way he has supported and empowered the underprivileged is exemplary,” he added.
He also lauded Odisha’s progress in the education sector.
