Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the family of the deceased in the tragic bus mishap occurred in Taptapani Ghat of Ganjam district early this morning.
The CM also announced free treatment for the injured in the mishap.
Naveen expressed profound grief over the death of passengers in the tragic incident.
Taking to Twitter, the Odisha CM conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
ଗଞ୍ଜାମ ତପ୍ତପାଣି ଘାଟି ବସ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ଖବର ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁଃଖଦାୟକ। ଏଥିରେ ପ୍ରାଣ ହରାଇଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ପରିବାର ପ୍ରତି ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଇବା ସହ ସମସ୍ତ ଆହତଙ୍କ ଆଶୁଆରୋଗ୍ୟ କାମନା କରୁଛି। ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ ଏବଂ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଘଟଣାର ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ଆହତଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ବହନ କରିବେ।

He also wished speedy recovery to the victims.
The CM said that all medical expenses regarding the treatment of the victims will be borne by the state government.
As many as eight persons were killed and 40 others sustained injuries after a bus carrying them skidded off a bridge near Palukhola in Taptapani Ghat of Ganjam district in the wee hours today.
