Dhenkanal: A three-day shutdown has been declared in the Kamakhyanagar NAC area in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district from August 10 to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The decision has been taken after 19 positive cases have been reported from the area today, the district admin said.
In order to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to take all preventive and response measures, the Kamakhyanagar NAC will remain shutdown from August 10 to August 12.
There shall be intensive contact tracing in Kamakhyanagar NAC. Contacts of the confirmed and suspected cases will be line listed, tracked and kept under surveillance at home for 14 days, informed Dhenkanal Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Dhenkanal district stands at 560 including 229 active cases, according to the Odisha Health Department.
