Mumbai: In a significant development, Mumbai police today arrested Republic TV chief executive officer Vikas Khanchandani in the fake Television Ratings Point (TRP) scam.
Mumbai police claim to have evidence against Khanchandani and have also found his link with earlier arrested accused Ghanshyam Singh,
According to Mumbai Police, Republic TV and two Marathi channels had allegedly paid to illegally boost their TRPs and thus earned profits illegally by getting higher rates for advertisements.
