Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths have arrested Pranakrushna Nayak, senior clerk in the Office of Tahasildar, Naugaon, Jagatsinghpur. He was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.20,000/ from the complainant to release his sand loaded tripper.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance has registered a PS Case No.1 Dt.16.01.2022 U/s 7 PC Amendement Act,2018. Simultaneous searches have been launched on properties of Nayak at Ohala and his office in Jagatsinghpur district.
Earlier, Sri Nayak was also arrested in Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No 65 /2016 U/S 7 PC Act for demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 3905/ for issue of patta. The case has been chargesheeted and under trial.
