Phulbani: The vigilance sleuths today unearthed disproportionate assets of over Rs 1 crore from the possession of a Service Cooperative Society Secretary in Odisha’s Boudh district.
A team of the anti-corruption wing led by Santanu Kumar Padhi, Vigilance Additional Superintendent of Police at Berhampur Division, detected movable and immovable assets over Rs 1,09,47,433 from the possession of Santosh Kumar Raut, Secretary, Service Cooperative Society, Uma in Kantamal block, Boudh district.
The anti-corruption traced Raut’s disproportionate assets after simultaneous searches at his double storied residential building, one single storied residential building, and office at Uma Cooperative Society.
The raids were conducted on the basis of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Phulbani.
Further enquiry is going on to unearth more assets and other substantial expenditure of Raut, informed vigilance department.
