Vigilance Unearths Disproportionate Assets worth Rs 6.97 Crore from Possession of Dismissed Constable Prasanna Behera

Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance sleuths unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs.6,97,15,057 in possession of dismissed constable Prasanna Behera following searches on properties linked to Behera.

Following searches on properties linked to Shri Prasanna Behera, Ex- Constable, BBSR Commissionerate, BBSR VIG PS Case No.32/21 U/s 13(2)r/w13(1)(b)/12 PC Act,1988 regd. against Shri Behera and others for possession of DA to the tune of Rs.6,97,15,057/- Investigation continuing.

Five teams of Odisha Vigilance led by two DSPs, six Inspectors, and other staff conducted raids at five places associated with Behera on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

Following the search, inventory, and enquiry, the income, expenditure, and assets of Behera and his family members were calculated. They were found in possession of DA to the known sources of income to the tune of Rs 6,97,15,057 which constitutes 221% of their known sources of income, according reports.
