WB Elections: Mamata Banerjee to Contest from Nandigram

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that she will content upcoming Assembly elections from Nandigram seat.
Mamata made this big announcement while addressing a public rally in Nandigram, according to media reports.

The West Bengal CM, who won the last Assembly elections from Bhawanipore constituency, said, “Nandigram is close to my heart. I can forget my name but I cannot forget Nandigram. Considering the emotional attachment I have with the people of Nandigram, today I am announcing that I wish to contest the upcoming poll from Nandigram”.

Notably, former TMC leader Suvendhu Adikari, who joined BJP last year, had won from Nandigram in 2016.
