West Indies Cricket Legend Brian Lara Hospitalized in Mumbai after Complaining of Chest Pain

Mumbai: West Indies cricket legend Brian Lara was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday after he complained of chest pain, according to media reports.

Lara, who is currently in India as a cricket expert for the official broadcasters of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, has been taken to Global Hospital in Parel at around 12.30 pm where medical tests and other procedures were immediately performed.

The hospital will issue a statement soon, reports added.

Lara is one of the greatest batmen in cricket history holding the record for the highest individual score and an unbeaten 501.

He is the only batsman to score 400 in a Test match.

The left-hander played 131 Tests and 299 ODIs for West Indies from 1990 to 2007.
