Puri: The world famous Konark Sun Temple in Odisha’s Puri district has been opened for tourists from today after a long gap of five months. This has been informed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).The Sun Temple remained closed for the visitors since March 16 in view of COVID-19 outbreak.
The gate of the Konark temple was opened for the visitors this morning. Keeping in view of the prevailing corona pandemic, only 2500 tourists will be allowed to visit the shrine in a day following social distancing norms and COVID-19 guidelines.
