Bhubaneswar: The teachers in Odisha are the frontline fighters in the war against Coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic and as many as 13 teachers have been succumbed to Covid-19 on the line of duty, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Das today.
Addressing media, Das said, “More than 62 thousand teaches are being engaged in the Covid-19 duty and 13 succumbed to the virus so far. The families of all the warriors will be provided assistance as per the circular issued on the 4th August by the Government”.
The authorized officials of the School and Mass Education Department will go to the houses of the warriors who have lost their life and handover all the required documents, he added.
