IPL 2020: RR vs SRH – Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets

Dubai: Steve Smith’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeat David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 5 wickets in the 26th Indian Premier League match today at Dubai International stadium.

Earlier in the day, SRH skipper David Warner won the toss and opted to bat first on a slowish wicket. Though, SRH didn’t get the desired start as they lost their explosive opener, Jonny Bairstow, for just 16 runs.

However, David Warner (48 off 38 balls) and Manish Pandey (54 off 44 balls) steadied the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Later in the slog overs of the game, Kane Williamson’s fiery 22 off 12 balls helped SRH reach 158 for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs.

RR achieved the target of 159 runs by 163 runs losing 5 wickets in 19.5 overs. In this match, Rajasthan were on the score of 78 runs, but after that Rahul Tewatia smashed 45 off 28 balls and Ryan Parag scored 42 runs off 26 balls and gave the team victory. SRH bowlers, Rashid Khan and Mohammed Khaleel, picked up two wickets apiece but failed to restrict Riyan and Tewatia from chasing down the target in death overs.
