95 Police Warriors Who Joined Duty after Recovery from COVID-19 Get ‘Special Appreciation’ from DGP

Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay has specially appreciated the 95 police personnel, who have rededicated themselves to frontline enforcement duty after recovering from COVID-19. 

The DGP wrote to heads of police establishments on Special Appreciation for recovered police corona warriors.

“Police personnel are working hard with dedication to create awareness and enforce relevant law, rules and regulations relating to COVID-19. In discharge of their duty, many personnel have been infected with COVID-19. One of them succumbed to the virus and we pay our tribute for his ultimate sacrifice. Others have recovered and have re-joined enforcement duty”.

“To encourage those who have rejoined enforcement duty promptly, it is decided to issue ‘Special Appreciation for Recovered Corona warriors from DGP”, the letter reads.

“Odisha Police takes pride in their dedication to public service. In recognition of their dedication and commitment to Public service, Odisha Police has decided to issue “Special Appreciation” from DGP and for all such Police Corona Warriors who on recovery promptly join enforcement duty,” the DGP said.

“We rededicate ourselves to fight COVID-19 with other frontline warriors and Odisha residents,” he added.
