Odisha Reports 80 New Corona Virus Cases; Gajapati and Nabarangpur Added To Corona Map

Bhubaneswar: The number of Coronavirus infections in Odisha has increased to 1269 with 80 new cases detected in the state in the last 24 hours. Gajapati and Nabarangpur districts reported their first Coronavirus cases as four persons in Gajapati and one person in Nabarangpur have been found positive for the dangerous virus.

In the last 24 hours, Ganjam recorded the highest number of infections at 19 and Puri saw 17 new cases. While Jajpur reported 14 new cases, Balasore recorded 3 new cases. Sundergarh, Nayagarh and Malkangiri reported 5 cases each. Seventy one of the new cases are from quarantine centers and two from home quarantine. 7 others are local infections.

With this the total number of active cases in the state stands at 826 while 436 people have recovered from the disease. The state has recorded 7 deaths due to Coronavirus till date.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 tests done in Odisha till Friday night stands at 118446 with 5000 new tests done in last one day.
