Bhubaneswar: Versatile Ollywood actor Ajit Das passed away here today. He was 71.
Das, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital after infected by COVID-19 on September 1, had reportedly succumbed to the virus on Sunday.
Das had begun his career in Ollywood in 1976 with ‘Sindura Bindu’ as a villain.
He had worked in numerous Odia movies. He was also the former Head of the Department of Drama at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya.
