Commonwealth TT Championships: Indian Women Win First-ever Team Title, Odisha CM Congratulates

Cuttack: The Indian women’s team scripted history at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium here on Friday by winning their first-ever team title in Commonwealth TT Championships.

The Indian women’s team outclassed England 3-0 in the final of the 21st edition of Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships here on Friday.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the Indian women’s team for the historic achievement.
The Indian team reached final after defeating Singapore in the semi-finals.

The Indian women’s team defeated Wales, Malaysia, and Nigeria by an identical 3-0 margin to enter the last-four from Group F of the Super Eight round.

Indian men and women were the first to book their semifinal slots after winning their Super Eights group matches.
