Covid-19 Resurgent: India’s Per Day Caseload Crosses 60k

New Delhi: The Corona graph in the country continues to see a northward trend. India’s daily Covid-19 tally crossed 62,336 with Maharashtra, Punjab and Gujarat recording the most number of cases.

As many as 289 people have died of the virus in the last 24 hours, the highest daily toll since December 30.

Maharashtra, which is in the midst of worst outbreak since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, reported another all-time high of 36,902 new cases on Friday, while Mumbai breached all previous records to registered 5,515 cases.

Maharashtra has reported 35,000-plus new cases for the two days in a row.
