Puri: A police complain has been filed against e-commerce giant Amazon by a Sreemandir servitor for selling the ‘Nirmalya Mahaprasad’ of Lord Jagannath on its website here in Pure today.
Servitor Sambhunath Khuntia, in his complaint lodged at Singhadwar Police Station, alleged that Amazon India has been selling the ‘Nirmalya Mahaprasad’ on its website with prices varing between Rs 59 and 499.
The same has also been
apprised to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
While SJTA has not given permission to any organisation to do such business, how come Amazon is doing the business, Khuntia asked.
He also demanded Amazon India to be refrained from doing so.
