Bhubaneswar: Bande Utkala Janani, which has got the State Anthem status, will be included in the school curriculum from next academic year, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash.
The Minister said that the decision has been taken after the State Cabinet suggested for the same.
Since the syllabus for the current academic year has been finalized and books have already been published and distributed, therefore the Bande Utkala Janani will be incorporated in the school curriculum from next academic year, he added.
Hailing the move to accord the song as State Anthem status, the Minister said that this will inhibit a sense of love for motherland and patriotism in young minds.
