Dhaka: Bangladesh Defence Secretary Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury passed away at a hospital here due to COVID-19 on Monday. He was 57.
It has been confirmed by the Bangladesh government.
Chowdhury was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on May 29 and later shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on June 6. He was placed on life support on June 18 after his condition deteriorated, according to reports.
He breathed his last at 9:30 am today.
