Gajapati District Extends Quarantine Period to 21 Days

Paralakhemundi: The Gajapati district administration has extended the quarantine period for returnees to 21 days after it found that the returnees were tested positive for COVID-19 even after completing 14 days in temporary medical camps (TMCs).

Informing this, Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha said that the returnees will be paid Rs 1,000 after completion of 21 days at quarantine period at TMCs.

He said that Rs 1,000 will be paid to them after they complete 7-day home quarantine.

Gajapati district has reported 435 cases of COVID-19, out of which 302 cases are active, according to the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department.
