Berhampur Man Who Attended Religious Congregation in Nizamuddin Tested Negative for COVID-19

Berhampur: A person from Berhampur city in Odisha’s Ganjam district, who attended the religious gathering in Delhi’s Nizamuddin last month, tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday.

This has been informed by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.

The person returned to the State on March 24 after attending the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Nizamuddin West in the National Capital.

The district administration traced the person on Thursday and immediately sent his samples for the COVID-19 test.

Meanwhile, the Odisha Government has confirmed the tracing of at least 27 persons in the State who attended the religious congregation in Nizamuddin last month and19 persons have been tested. All are negative.
