BJD Candidates Elected Unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Odisha

Bhubaneswar: All the four candidates of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) were elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Odisha.

This has been announced by Returning Officer for Rajya Sabha polls in Odisha Dasarathi Satapathy on last date for withdrawal of candidatures today.

The BJD nominees who were elected to the Upper House of the Parliament are Subash Singh, Munna Khan, Sujit Kumar and Mamata Mahanta.

The BJD candidates won unopposed ahead of the poll as opposition BJP and Congress did not field any nominee for the biennial polls in Odisha.
