Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has come down heavily on today’s CBI raids linked with the Seashore Chit Fund Scam.
BJD spokesperson Lenin Mohanty has said that the CBI has been investigating the cases in Odisha over the past seven years. A pattern is seen that wherein the CBI starts conducting searches, raids and issues notices just before any by-elections, general elections and panchayat elections. The people of Odisha are wondering why such things are happening before any elections, he added.
It’s worth mentioned here that the Central Bureau of Investigation had today carried out searches at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Mumbai relating to 2013 Seashore chit fund scam.
