Bhubaneswar: Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD), the youth of wing of Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), held a preparatory meeting here on Saturday for the celebrations of 104th birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter and former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on March 5.
The meeting presided over by BYJD state president Amaresh Patri was attended by district president and other office bearers of the party’s wing. The BYJD members gave various proposals for the celebrations.
BJD General Secretary (Headquarters) Sanjay Das Burma and Jajpur MLA cum General Secretary (Organization) Pranab Prakash Das urged the BYJD members to make the weeklong programme successful.
The BJD has planned for a week-long celebration of the birth anniversary of Biju Patnaik across the State beginning March 5.
The celebrations will be held at all the 33 organisational districts of the BJD.
