New Delhi: Several Left leaders were detained at Mandi House here during an anti-Citizenship Act protest on Thursday.
As per media reports, Left leaders including D Raja, Sitaram Yechury, Nilotpal Basu, Brinda Karat, Prof. Dinesh Varshney, Pallab Sen Gupta, Balchandra Kango and others were arrested for allegedly defying prohibitory orders imposed by the Delhi Police in the area.
Earlier, scores of agitators were detained at the Red Fort where another protest by students and activists was set to begin, agency reports said.
