Bhubaneswar: The children in Odisha will receive needle free COVID-19 vaccine, informed Health and Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi.
Odisha has 1.40 crore children in the age group of 2-18. A special SOP will be prepared for the vaccination of children. As children are afraid to receive the injection, they will be given vaccinates through forma depth technology, he said.
It has been recommended to give two doses of vaccine to the children, he added.
Odisha has so far administered 3, 50,00,000 doses of Covid vaccines, including 2,47,00,000 doses of first dose (78%) and 1,03,00,000 doses of second dose (33%), according to the State Health Department.
