CM Distributes BSKY Smart Health Cards in Bargarh, Dedicates 71 Transformed High Schools

Bijepur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards in Bargarh district.

As many as 3.64 lakh people in Bargarh district will be given the BSKY smart health cards, which will ensure the beneficiaries to avail of free medical treatment in 200 empanelled hospitals across the country.

During his visit to the district, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones and inaugurated various projects worth Rs 300 crore for the further development of Bargarh.

Addressing the people on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Bargarh is undergoing a significant transformation with 150 ongoing projects worth Rs 2,483.18 crore. The development process has been further boosted with the inauguration of 108 projects worth Rs 115 crore and laying of foundation stones for 42 projects worth Rs 179 crore.

The CM said that the Gangadhar Meher lift irrigation project in Odisha’s Bargarh district would be completed by September 2023. The project will provide assured irrigation to around 25,600 hectares of chronically drought-hit areas in the district.

Naveen also dedicated 71 redeveloped government high schools in Bargarh district under the High School Transformation programme in the first phase. The initiative will will significantly benefit students with improved quality of education and infrastructure.
