CM Distributes BSKY Smart Health Cards in Kandhamal, Dedicates Projects Worth Rs 839.15 Crore

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards in Kandhamal district.

As many as 6.50 lakh people of the district will get the benefits of BSKY smart health cards.

With this, 16 districts of Odisha have been covered under the scheme.
During his visit to Kandhamal, the Chief Minister also dedicated projects worth Rs 839.15 crore including inauguration of 228 projects worth Rs199.30 core and foundations laying for 46 projects worth Rs 639.85 crore. The projects include piped water supply, healthcare, education, roads & bridges, and energy.
Addressing the people on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Kandhamal is a land of gold ୤. Organic crops, especially Kandhamal turmeric, have become one of the most popular brands in the country today.

The CM said that Kandhamal is a center of attraction for tourists across the country for Eco-Tourism.
The State Government has been working hard to to develop these two sectors, he added.

He further said that Medical College & Hospital with 500-bed facility will come up in the district with an investment of Rs 504 crore.
