Bhubaneswar: As the 60 hours complete shutdown came to force form 10 pm on Thursday in three districts – Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore, the Odisha Police sealed all roads along the West Bengal border.
There are 37 Motorable roads connecting Balasore district to West Bengal. All these roads are now sealed. Similar action was also taken on 22 roads connecting Mayurbhanj district to West Bengal.
During shutdown goods transport passing on NH through these districts for other districts will be allowed free movement.
Meanwhile, Odisha DGP Abhay appeal to residents of Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore districts to observe shutdown for 60 hours announced by Chief Secretary.
He also warned that Police will be constrained to prosecute and take other legal action against those violating the shutdown.
